Michael Jackson

I've watched the celebrity trial at a distance but I did not have enough information to make any form of judgement about the whether Michael Jackson was guilty of the charges that were presented in the case. I presume there were too many lingering questions and there was enough reasonable doubt.

What we saw on television was a strange person who did not look in the best of health:

Hell I thought that blck was beautiful.

The one-time King of Pop is in a pretty bad way with respect to creating more music. His career has been in a steep 10-year decline and he seems to retreat more and more into his own private world.

I didn't really follow it all that closely either, but we do know that a jury in a 3 months trial will have far more info than any media reports provide. In addition I'm inclined to think that if MJ did sexually molest kids there would be more coming forward. No doubt he's immature and self centered. Anyway his lawyer has announced that "Michael won't be sleeping with young boys anymore" Got to be my favourite quote of the year.

I thought I heard he announced that they were reforming The Jackson Five and going on the road. If this is true, it sounds like as sensible move to me. It might signal a revitalisation of his contribution to pop. There is no real reason why he shouldn't still be able to do something at least critically acclaimed, if not chart topping. He's got (or had) the talent, he's paid musical dues, he has delivered before, he's had a good grounding in the basics of singing and dance and doowop. Here's hoping.

FXH,

maybe the finances wil drive him back to the music. Forbes says that Jackson has a debt load of about $340 million and has dwindling prospects for generating new sources of income.

From the little I've seen Jackson made dam good musical videos.
