If there are diverse kinds of knowledge and ways of knowing place, then we need to learn to value the different ways each of us sees a single place that is significant, but differently so, for each perspective.

Rammey Ramsey is one of the artists in the East Kimberley exhibition at Parliament House that I have previously mentioned here and here.

He was involved in the earlier Beyond the Frontier exhibition that was held at the Sherman Galleries.

Gary,
I've enjoyed all the recent posts on Aboriginal art. Some great artists that I wasn't aware of.
I'd like to thank you for a great blog; I read it everyday.
I hope you have a great Xmas and that somebody has bought you a giant box set of Grateful Dead shows.
All the best for the New Year.

Cheers,
Michael

Michael,
thankyou.

The East Kimberley work is an eye opener for me to.

I haven't really connected it to the Western asethetic tradition as much as I would like.

As for the Grateful Dead I will keep plugging away and maybe order the Fillmore West 1969 - Compilation CD.
