---- Adelaide is home. Work is often in Canberra. Relaxation is in Victor Harbor. I'm a frustrated photographer & philosopher who has lost his way in life. I used to be a policy wonk. Now, as a knowledge worker I have trouble learning to live in a complex digital world. Personal expression is the way I critically cope in a technological mode of being.
I've just moved to Canberra from Melbourne (5 months now). I'm a fan of graffiti, even the ugly stuff. I find it more interesting than a bland grey electricity box. melbourne is spoilt by the quality of its public art. unfortunately in canberra, public art seems to mean political monument.
i notice you described Canberra as more like a country town than a small city. i think its more accurate to describe it as an isolated suburbia. Canberra doesn't have the population density that makes a city and is too spread out to offer the charm of a town.
nevertheless, i liked it enough to move here, and i guess i'll find out if i like it enough to stay.
