I'm down at Victor Harbor writing a submission. I took this picture on the way down to the beach shack or weekender when I passed through Aldinga beach. Aldinga was once a holiday resort, now it is a coastal suburb of Adelaide.

This kind of postwar beach architecture is rapidly disappearing, as it is being replaced by McMansion style of architecture in a modernist style, eg.,

EncounterBayhouses.jpg Gary Sauer-Thompson, holiday house, Encounter Bay, 2008

All the old properties along the water front of Encounter Bay and being bought up, the old shacks pulled down, replaced by these kind of new holiday homes.

Quick get your new camera out, make images STAT!

hmm,
it's more a case of getting the old Linhof 5x4 out. I've got it out and bought the film. Yet to load the dark slides and step into architectural photography. I need a bit of clear air to return to the old ways.
