Lucinda Williams: 'Rarity' « Previous | |Next »
November 14, 2008

'Rarity' is from Lucinda Williams 2008 album Little Honey. I think that the album is another step down from 1998's Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, but Rarity is one of the better tracks.

It has the designed feel of a loose, casual album with a number of bluesy, boozy rocker– but some of songwriting material is tossed off, uninspired and cliched---eg., "Honey Bee" It's a step down--decline?---- in terms of Williams the songwriter.
